He then trained for five years as an orthopaedic surgery resident at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and spent two years as a fellow of orthopaedic oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Alexander Greenstein is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in orthopaedic trauma. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital where he served as the academic Chief Resident. During his residency, he also completed a research fellowship at the Center for Musculoskeletal Research at the University of Rochester. Dr. Greenstein then went on to complete an orthopaedic trauma fellowship at the world-renowned Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Greenstein specializes in minimally invasive orthopaedic trauma surgical techniques, the treatment of complex fractures, and advanced bone reconstructive procedures. Dr. Greenstein strongly believes in taking care of every patient like they're his family. The complexities of musculoskeletal care require an individualized approach, respecting patients' autonomy. By gaining a thorough understanding of his patients' needs and expectations as well as offering a wide range of appropriate options, from conservative measures to the most advanced surgical techniques, he helps patients understand complex problems so that they can make the best decisions for themselves.
