Dr. Jonathan Pavlinec, MD, a native of Florida, is one of few Endourological Society fellowship-trained urologists in the southeast with dual advanced training in robotic/laparoscopic surgery and endourology/stone disease. He graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a degree in Microbiology. He attended the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and graduated at the top of his medical school class. He then completed his surgical training at UF Health Shands Hospital at the University of Florida. During his residency, he received numerous honors including the UF College of Medicine/Society of Teaching Scholars Outstanding Resident Educator Award. He also was a three-time recipient of the annual UF Department of Urology Academic Excellence Award. Following his graduation, he scored in the highest tier of The American Board of Urology Qualifying Exam and remained at UF for fellowship. While completing his fellowship, Dr. Pavlinec gained advanced training in complex robotic and laparoscopic urologic procedures, specifically in the areas of prostate and kidney surgery. He held Staff/Attending Urologist privileges at UF Health Shands Hospital and the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center as part of an adjunct-faculty appointment in the Department of Urology.
