After this, he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico for his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center. Throughout his training, he has earned several academic and humanitarian awards. Also, he has participated in different investigations in community-based participatory research, translational research, and clinical trials.
