Biography: Dr. Antonio Mauri was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He attended Metropolitan State College in Denver where he obtained a Degree in Bachelor of Science in both Biology and Chemistry. He moved to Richmond in 2010, where he attended dental school at MCV/VCU. Graduating with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery he furthered his training in a general practice residency through VCU Health Systems. After completing the two years of hospital based training he received advanced training in restorative, crown and bridge, complete and partial dentures, surgery, implant dentistry, and both oral and IV sedation dentistry. The hospital based residency also provided a further understanding of dental treatment for patients with complicated health conditions. He is an active member of the Richmond Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Mauri is a firm believer in lifetime learning. He continues to further his dental education through courses that will keep him current with dental techniques so he can offer the highest standard of care possible to his patients. Antonio lives in Richmond with his wife Molly and their dog Blanche. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends. During dental school and in the residency he spent much of his time volunteering with the Virginia Dental Association Mission of Mercy Projects. When possible he will attend these projects to aid people in remote areas of Virginia with dental care. When there is extra time he enjoys hobbies such as wood turning, simple car mechanics, and cooking.
