Dr. Rene Roberts, DMD

I would give Dr. Roberts a 5/5. I really thought she was down to earth friendly and did a great job. The complaint I have is about billing. They charged me a deductable for my cleaning. I let that go, however when I had my crown work done, I believe, their billing was horrible. When I was done with the proceedure, they asked me, so you still have this insurance? I said yes. They handed me my copy of my payment and said this is only an estimate after I paid $535. I said it could be more? They said yes. Now, 30 days later, they came back and said I owed $120.60 more. I called them and asked, Can you work with me. They said No. They said, because they accept my insurance, they already had to waive $381. I called my insurance and found they never did a preauthorization. I called Dr. Roberts office back to say this. I was transferred to Office Manager, she said they don't do preauthorizations unless patient requests. I was never told this, she then asked for my creditcard #

90 yr old dad went and they treated him with respect and dignity, gentleness and kindness. I went as a 54 yr old and got the same treatment. I have recommended to my partner. They were quick but I never felt felt rushed. Hygienist and Dr. Roberts were thorough and concise and answered all mine and my dad's questions. Front desk person explained insurance in way that was easily understood. I highly this dentist and all of her staff. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
