Dr. Erica Hunt, DMD

I get a check-up once or twice a year. The only dental work I've had done in over half a century is repair of the fillings that I got when I was a kid. At my check-up last Tuesday the dentist recommended an aggressive plan to cap several teeth. Since I'm fiscally conservative and conservative in my approach to dental work, I took the plan under consideration. Thursday night a tooth broke. (I was eating a BLT - Nothing hard!). I don't think it was one of the teeth Dr. Hunt wanted to cap. I called Friday morning and that someone would get back to me re. scheduling an appointment. No one called by Friday PM, so I called another dentist and got an appointment for the next day after the holiday weekend. I didn't hear anything from your office until late Wednesday. By that time the tooth was already fixed.

Very competent and entire staff is upbeat. I always enjoy my time there and everything is handled with highest professionalism.

Dr. Hunt and her entire staff are all Rock Stars! Special shout out to Allison, the tech that worked with me during my past (and hopefully future) visits. Allison's patience and kindness is genuine.

Everyone at the office was happy and helpful. They answered all my questions and made sure there were no surprises (including surprise charges). Dr. Hunt explained the treatment plan to me, and took the time to explain the steps, what to expect, and why each part was necessary. I've definitely found my new dentist, and I've already recommended her to others twice in the last week!

I called later in the day, after my appointment, to say I was having some difficulty. My name and number was taken and I was told someone would be calling me back soon. I never received that call. I am still having some discomfort with my tongue...which began following my procedure. I have not called back since my first call was ignored.

Dr. Hunt is always friendly and professional. She takes the time to really listen to patients and explains procedures in a way that is easy to understand. I recommend her practice every time someone asks me what dentist I see in Bloomington!

So patient, so clear in her explanations, such good results.

I love Dr. Hunt and her staff! She is kind and knowledgeable. She also is trying to help me get treatment for jaw joint problems. She really cares about her patients and will get you in ASAP if needed.

I got the dental work done I was scheduled for but as soon as they were done they start putting a guilt trip on about the rest of my teeth and it seems they just want to push push push to get you back in to get more of your money and I feel like a number. Realize everyone is not rich and the insurance doesn’t help near enough to help cover your $1300 caps which is crazy when you only pay $200-$300 for the cap itself.

Since I do not like going to the dentist I had not been in quite some time. I cannot tell you how happy I am that I went to Southern Indiana Smiles! They worked with me and helped me through my fears of the dentist. Highly recommend!!

I had a horrible experience at this location. Dr. Hunt blatantly ignored all concerns I voiced to her and she informed me she was going to do what she thought was best. This resulted in me having a reaction to what I told her not to use. At this point I felt uncomfortable and stopped the procedure. She did say she hoped to learn from this experience. Beware of this facility and dentist.

Absolutely. I previously had a wonderful dental team. When I moved they suggested I try Dr. Hunt's practice. It was like I never switched. I felt right at home.
