Biography: Christopher Larkins, M. D. completed his fellowship training at The Steadman Clinic, Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Co. He completed Orthopaedic Residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio. Dr. Larkins acquired his medical degree at The University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, AZ and his Bachelor of Science, Biochemistry, Magna Cum Laude at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. His extensive leadership experience includes Director of Bioskills Development in Orthopaedic Surgery for residents in San Antonio, TX, as well as coordinator with Casa de los Nios, University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, AZ. Dr. Larkins has also received honors and awards including The Doctors Company Foundation Young Physicians Patient Safety Award, is an American Academy of Surgical Trauma Scholarship Recipient, and has received the Commitment to Underserved People (CUP) Leadership Award. We are proud to also note his military service to our country as Team Leader of the Reconnaissance/Sniper Team, United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division. Dr. Larkins joins South Texas Bone and Joint to help expand our orthopaedic and surgery services to the Coastal Bend and beyond. He is pleased to continue a path of excellence in making Your Care.
