Biography: Yaiyun Judy Cheng, known as "Dr. Judy " by many, was born in Taiwan and immigrated to the US at age 13. Dr. Cheng received her undergraduate degree (BS) in Biology from Trinity University. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine from UT Health Science Center and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Dr. Cheng is passionate about women's health at every stage of their lives. She loves seeing patients in the office, delivering babies and performing surgeries. Her priority is for patients to feel comfortable to discuss their problems and private matters. She believes in quality care through education, collaboration and joint decision making with her patients. Dr. Cheng has been specially trained on vNOTES (Transvaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery) hysterectomy and other common gynecologic procedures. It is a new minimally invasive, advanced gynecologic technique that provides many benefits to female patients, such as no abdominal scars, shorter hospital stays, less pain and faster recovery times. Dr. Cheng is board certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Texas Medical Association. When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Cheng enjoys spending time with her family, reading, painting and gardening. She is taking new patients and referrals and looks forward to being a trusted part of your healthcare team.

She received her undergraduate degree from Baylor University and attended medical school at The Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. In medical school Dr Nestlerode discovered her passion for women&rsquos health and desire to pursue obstetrics and gynecology. She believes the most rewarding part of being a physician is making genuine connections with her patients.
