Biography: Caring for eyes is a family tradition for Dr. Sipes, whose parents both practiced ophthalmology. A graduate of Newcomb College of Tulane University, she earned a medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport. She completed an internal medicine internship and residency in ophthalmology. Dr. Sipes joined WK Eye Institute in 2005. Dr. Sipes practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a special interest in cosmetics, especially Botox injections and eyelid surgery. Dr. Sipes performs her eyelid surgery at the WK Eye Surgery Center located at WK Eye Institute - North on the campus of Willis-Knighton Medical Center. Dr. Sipes is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the Shreveport Medical Society, Louisiana State Medical Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Sipes enjoys spending time with her husband, Richard, who is a concierge medicine physician, and their three children.
