Care Philosophy: Nathan Avery, MD, is a general surgeon who offers state-of-the-art surgical care to patients age 16 and older, including advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Dr. Avery believes that good patient care requires clinical excellence, availability, patience, warmth and empathy. He strives to incorporate each of these into every patient encounter. He considers it particularly important to present his patients with all available treatment options, to achieve a mutual understanding and to ensure that their decisions are consistent with their values. He recognizes that there is no one best treatment that suits everyone. Dr. Avery emphasizes communication with referring providers and is committed to keeping members of the care team well informed. Outside of work, Dr. Avery enjoys spending time with family, recreational league soccer, hiking and camping.

Care Philosophy: Eugene Cho, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in laparoscopic procedures, with special interest in surgery for heartburn, hernias, gallstones, spleen and adrenal problems. Drawn to medicine for the ability to help others, Dr. Cho believes the most important aspect of care is educating his patients about their health problem and treatment options. Dr. Cho is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and many others.

Care Philosophy: Surgical care for patients is my passion; making sure my patients receive excellent medical and surgical care, with all options; helping each step along the way- to schedule efficiently, and set up followup appointments quickly by friendly caring staff, who answer phones when you call. I am a rare surgeon, completely independent; I hold privileges in all area hospital systems: MultiCare and CHI- Fransican, and out -patient at Meridian Surgery Center. My patient are not just down streamed in referrals loops within a system directed employed providers, but with my independence- my patients have all options, and I help them all through the process.

Understanding that surgery can be a stressful and intimidating event, he strives to ease these sentiments by building a trusting relationship with each patient and creating a supportive environment. His goal is for his patients to feel confident that all their questions and concerns have been addressed and that they will receive the best care possible. He believes in maintaining cost-effective practices, and uses evidence-based medicine to drive and support this approach. Dr. Schleichert trained with renowned colorectal surgeons at the Ferguson Clinic and has extensive experience practicing at a Breast Cancer Center of Excellence (Grand Rapids, Michigan). He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association and American Medical Association. Outside of work, Dr. Schleichert enjoys being outdoors with his wife and daughters, ice hockey, baseball and skiing.

Biography: Mohan Mallipeddi, MD, specializes in minimally invasive (laparoscopic/robotic) surgery for hernias, benign esophageal disorders, stomach and intestinal cancer, and obesity._x000D_ For all his surgical patients, Dr. Mallipeddi gives them the opportunity to express their own story.
