He also has expertise in carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, complex abdominal and thoracic aneurysms, TransCarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) and carotid stent placement, and wound care.Dr. Pierce considers communicating effectively - helping patients understand their problem and how it can be fixed - to be one of the most important aspects of being a doctor. Care Philosophy: Medical care for many foot and ankle conditions are often as simple as an orthotic or a brace. However, more involved complicated cases sometimes require foot or ankle surgery to correct the underlying problem or deformity. Dr. Scheinost has been in practice in Puyallup for 18 years specializing in complicated foot and ankle reconstructive and revisional surgery. His practice philosophy has always been to treat conditions conservatively without surgery at first, unless the condition will only be resolved with surgery.

Biography: Dr. Guy Klein is an Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training and expertise in both adult reconstruction (hip and knee replacement) and orthopedic trauma (the care of adult and pediatric fractures). Dr. Klein utilizes a muscle sparing, minimally invasive anterior approach for hip replacement to help patient go through the surgery process with less pain and a more rapid recovery. During his fellowship training at Charleston Area Medical Center, Dr. Klein developed expertise in complex primary and revision (re-do) hip and knee replacement. He was also part of the orthopedic trauma team at this busy level 1 trauma center that took care of many severe adult and pediatric fractures. Prior to fellowship training, Dr. Klein performed his orthopedic residency training at University Hospitals of Cleveland and attended medical school at Ohio University. Dr. Klein performs hip and knee replacement with minimally invasive and cutting edge techniques. He utilizes an advanced, ``state of the art`` protocol to help control patient's pain after surgery. Dr. Klein specializes in hip and knee joint replacement as well as adult and pediatric fracture care. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the International Congress for Joint Reconstruction (ICJR), and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). He has presented orthopedic research at national and international meetings. His many research articles and book chapters have been published in national orthopedic journals including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (JBJS) and the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics.

Biography: Julie Roberts, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hand and wrist surgery, minimally invasive surgery, hand injuries, fracture care, hand and wrist arthritis, nerve disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, and tendon injuries. _x000D_ Dr. Roberts is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. _x000D_ Dr. Roberts enjoys kayaking, hiking, traveling, and reading.

Vaughan, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, from ACL reconstruction and meniscal repair to arthroscopic shoulder instability repairs. He also focuses on arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement and fracture care. Dr. Vaughan employs the most technologically advanced medical and surgical techniques, along with a patient-centered philosophy, to get his patients off the sidelines and return them to an active lifestyle sooner. Dr. Vaughan served as an orthopedic surgeon for the U.S. Navy in Pensacola, Florida. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. In his spare time, Dr. Vaughan volunteers as the orthopedic team surgeon for the University of Puget Sound. Dr. Johnston completed a fellowship at the Santa Monica Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Group, a FIFA Centre of Medical Excellence, where he served as the team physician for the L.A. Galaxy and Chivas USA Major League Soccer teams, the U.S. Men's and Women's National Soccer Teams and the Pepperdine University and Santa Monica Community College athletic departments. Dr. Johnston is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine.
