Biography: Radhika Smith, MD, is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon specializing in treating patients with diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. Dr. Smith earned her medical degree at the University of Missouri and completed her residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then received fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida. Dr. Smith is also dedicated to training the next generation of surgeons. She has served as an assistant professor of colon and rectal surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine and has received numerous teaching awards throughout her career. She has also served as an examiner and question writer for the colorectal surgery qualifying and certifying board examination.

Care Philosophy: Enrique Vega, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in gastrointestinal, breast and skin cancers as well as thyroid, parathyroid and hernia repair surgeries. His areas of expertise include the use of minimally invasive technologies in colon and rectal cancer treatment, including TAMIS and laparoscopic surgery. He specializes in the surgical treatment of both Crohn&#39s disease and ulcerative colitis, and is proficient treating all common anorectal diseases including hemorrhoids, fistulas and perianal abscesses. Dr. Galante has published numerous, peer-reviewed articles in medical publications and received the 2016 Gershon Efron, MD Resident of the Year Award from the Sinai Hospital Department of Surgery for commitment to patient care, safety, leadership and teamwork -as selected by faculty and staff of the department.
