Biography: Telehealth visits are available. Dr. Jessie joined MFAMA in 2012 from Los Angeles, California where he completed residency and fellowship. In addition to the management of maternal morbidity complicating pregnancy, he has expertise in prenatal ultrasound, genetic counseling, management of cervical incompetence, and optimal fetal and maternal health through diet and exercise. He has completed research evaluating preterm labor, maternal birth trauma, diabetes in pregnancy, post-partum depression, fetal programming and fetal hypoxia. He has authored and co-authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed publications and text books regarding these topics. Dr. Jessie has special interest in pre-conceptual maternal health evaluation with targeted dietary/nutritional goals for optimal fetal and maternal health. He has been instrumental in the expansion and establishment of state-of-the-art perinatal centers in the rapidly growing Loudoun and Prince William counties in Northern Virginia.Dr. Jessie is a member of The American Medical Association, The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, The National Medical Association and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also certified by Nuchal Translucency Quality Review Program (NTQR).

He is an established leader in the filed of Maternal Fetal Medicine in the Washington Metropolitan area and prides himself on providing friendly and personal care while being at the forefront of breakthrough medical technologies. Originally from Cairo, Egypt, Dr. Hassan came to the United States to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, then a Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine. He quickly became known in the field of Maternal Fetal Medicine for his publications, his dedication, and his expertise. Over the years, Dr. Hassan has become well known nationally and internationally, where he also is invited to give lectures about state-of-the-art ultrasound techniques and has received numerous awards. He was awarded one of the first certificates for performing Nuchal Translucency by the Fetal Medicine Foundation in London, England. Additionally, he is certified by the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review Program (NTQR) of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine in the USA. Dr. Hassan serves as Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, The American Medical Association, The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Hassan is a known international speaker in the field of Maternal Fetal Medicine and has participated in many international conferences and workshops for physicians. He is known for his expertise in fetal echocardiography and fetal doppler.
