I want to ensure they understand the disease, their diagnosis, treatment options (including clinical trials), and the goals of their treatment. I tailor treatments based on disease state and biology and coordinate patient care with other physicians and medical personnel (like social workers and genetic counselors) so the patient has seamless care.

I focus my clinical practice on patients with cancers of the blood (lymphomas, leukemias, and myeloma). I emphasize to patients the importance of participating in clinical trials whenever possible both to ensure that they are receiving the most up-to-date, cutting-edge treatments for their diseases and to help advance the field of oncology. ??

With every patient, I ask myself the simple question, How would I treat my wife, mom, dad, or anyone else I care deeply for?
