Care Philosophy: I enjoy the variety my job offers - going back and forth from the office to hospital rounds to labor and delivery - and supporting residents as they do the same. I really enjoy seeing adolescents, and I still care for my own OB patients. I delivered a baby to someone who I delivered! One of the obstetricians told me that now I am a grandoc'! I think of myself as a co-learner, and routinely learn new ways to manage patients. In the last few years I spent time learning about and beginning to utilize osteopathic manipulative techniques. I really like the idea of putting things back in the right place and helping alleviate pain.

Messamore M.D./PhD - Arthroscopic Surgery of the Hip, Knee, & Shoulder, General Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports MedicineDr. Messamore is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee and shoulder. He earned his undergraduate, graduate and medical degrees at the University of Kansas.Dr. Messamore completed his residency training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita and returned to Kansas City once again to complete his fellowship training in Sports Medicine with the University of Kansas Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship and enjoyed the experience of working with athletes on his favorite teams, the Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.Will is a Jayhawk through and through, born and raised in Wichita and graduate of Wichita Collegiate School. Dr. Messamore completed his PhD research in Neurophysiology and has had numerous publications associated with that research as well as extensive orthopaedic research throughout residency and fellowship.Dr. Messamore enjoys working with athletes at all levels from aspiring professionals to weekend warriors.
