Care Philosophy: I believe that patient education is essential to the collaborative effort between physician and patient to achieve an optimal outcome. In my practice, I spend the extra time to make certain that my patients have a thorough understanding of both their illness and the treatment options available. My particular areas of focus are Men's Heath, as well as voiding dysfunction in both Men and Women. A particular passion of mine is Community Health Awareness of Urologic Disease. Biography: Thazin Saw, MD, is an internist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Brooklyn, affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. She is board certified by American Board of Internal Medicine since 1998 and a fellow of American College of Physicians. After earning her medical degree from Institute of Medicine Yangon, Myanmar, she completed internal medicine residencies at Havering Group Hospitals in London, England and At SUNY Long College Hospital in Brooklyn. She has been appointed as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, Cornell University. She has previously served as Clinical Assistant Professor, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and SUNY Brooklyn, and Medical Director, Employee Health, Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn.

Biography: Dr. Minnie John MD, FAAP is Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical College and the Attending Pediatric Infectious Disease physician at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Dr John is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Disease and over25 years of experience in pediatrics. She is a member of AAP and IDSA. Dr. John graduated from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. She was always interested in Pediatrics and Infectious Disease. Shortly after finishing medical school, Dr. John got the opportunity to be a part of the landmark 076 AIDS clinical trial that showed how a single drug could change the face of global pediatric HIV. This work only reaffirmed her decision to pursue a career in Pediatric Infectious disease. She completed her residency from Bronx Lebanon Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. John enjoys working with children and following these children into adulthood. Her practice is based on compassionate high quality patient focused family centered care grounded in evidence-based medicine. Her passion lies in solving complicated medical conundrums. Her areas of expertise include congenital infections (especially congenital CMV and herpes infections), bone and joint infections, skin and soft tissue infections, pneumonia, fever of unknown origin, HIV, tuberculosis, travel medicine. Dr. John recently received an NIH grant to manage congenitally infected CMV newborns with NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital being designated as one of the Wadsworth Center Infectious Disease Specialty Care Center.

Biography: Hannah Kim, M.D. M.H.S., is a pediatric nephrologist and assistant professor of pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine, and an assistant attending pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children's Hospital.Dr. Kim graduated with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia and an M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia. She completed her pediatric residency training at the Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C. , followed by fellowship training in pediatric nephrology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, M.D. Prior to joining the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Kim practiced for several years in Pennsylvania at Penn State Children's Hospital. Her clinical interests include the management of chronic kidney disease progression and end-stage kidney disease with a particular interest in dialysis.Dr. Kim is also an epidemiologist with a master's degree in epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, M.D. Her previous research has focused on puberty in children with chronic kidney disease and the role of sex hormones on disease progression.
