Biography: Dr. Nelson was born in Chicago, the youngest of four children and the only daughter. She moved to Atlanta, Ga., as a child. Inspired by her desire to help others and her interest in healthcare, she received her undergraduate education at Emory University, receiving a bachelor of science in chemistry, which paved the way for her interest in medicine. She then attended Sint Eustatius University School of Medicine in the Netherland Antilles, where she obtained a bachelor of science in medicine followed by her medical degree. Subsequently, she completed a four-year residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. In October 2010, Dr. Nelson moved to our practice at WK Pierremont Health Center. She is a board certified internist (American Board of Internal Medicine), primarily in the outpatient setting. Her focus is establishing a close and professional relationship with each of her patients. She prides herself in giving each patient ample time to provide education, instruction, counseling, and allow time to answer questions and concerns. Dr. Nelson's Puerto Rican roots and fluency in Spanish have been helpful as she has assisted with the management of patients in the Hispanic community in Shreveport and East Texas. Biography: Dr. Balogh was born in Romania and received his medical education there before immigrating to the United States. In addition to his European medical training in anesthesia and critical care, he interned and was an Internal Medicine resident at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Balogh practiced in Many, Louisiana before joining Willis-Knighton Health System. He is married. He and his wife, Annie, have one daughter. She is currently an anesthesiologist at Cornell University. Dr. Balogh enjoys flower gardening, travel and watching sports, especially soccer.

Biography: Dr. Lim received his undergraduate degree at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines and continued his education receiving his medical degree at Santo Tomas. Biography: Dr. Mody received an honorary Bachelor of Arts degree from Central High School in Philadelphia, Pa., the second oldest magnet high school in the country. In Houston Dr. Mody provided spine and sports care for the Houston Texans and Houston Rockets as well as for the Rice University Owls. In Shreveport, Dr. Mody has provided spine care for the Shreveport Battlewings, Mudbugs hockey, Cavaliers football as well as for other local athletes and celebrities. Dr. Mody is happily married with two children and two dogs. His hobbies include travel, water sports, photography, tech start-ups, cooking, and film.

Biography: Dr. Moritz graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, and earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. After completing a residency in orthopedic surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University, he moved to New Orleans where he completed a fellowship in sports medicine and reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. During his time in New Orleans, he was an assistant team physician for the NFL New Orleans Saints and the NBA New Orleans Hornets. In addition to his surgical practice he is part of the Willis-Knighton Sports Medicine team. Prior to joining Bossier Orthopedics, he was part of The Bone & Joint Clinic, practicing with Dr. William S. Bundrick Sr..
