Ryan Palmer, MD, received his undergraduate degree in biology from Louisiana State University Shreveport in 1996 and his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine in 2000. He began his career locally in private practice before serving our veterans as a GI physician at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport. During this time, Dr. Palmer was also an associate professor at LSUHSC-S and trained other gastroenterologists.Patients work with Dr. Palmer at Pinnacle Gastroenterology, a Willis-Knighton clinic in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dr. Palmer is proficient in various GI procedures, including colonoscopy, EGD and ERCP. He treats diseases such as GERD, peptic ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Johnsons graduate studies at LSU Health Sciences-Shreveport School of Allied Health Professions led to her degree in physician assistant studies. Clinical rotations led to Johnsons decision to practice gastroenterology. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.Johnson compassionately treats patients with an eye on patient education. Biography: Dr. Robert Smith was born in Springhill and grew up in Bossier City, attending public schools and graduating from Airline High School. After graduation he majored in Biology at LSU where he also played offensive lineman as part of the 2007 National Championship team. He was accepted into medical school at LSU School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 2012. After completing a family medicine residency at the University of Texas Northeast in Tyler he and his family decided to move back home to Louisiana.When he is not taking care of his patients, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his family. Outdoor activities are a big part of his life, whether on the water or in the woods, playing football, exercising, or grilling.
