Biography: Charles F. Dendy, DO, FACOS, received his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University and attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center's Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. He completed his general surgery internship at Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas and general surgery residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan.Dr. Dendy is board certified in surgery and is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, The American Osteopathic Association and The American Medical Association.Charlie F. Biography: Pragnesh Patel, MD, is a highly-respected practitioner in gastrointestinal diseases and complex liver and pancreaticobiliary diseases at Houston Regional Gastroenterology Institute in Texas, treating patients in the Sugar Land and Humble clinics. He is proud to call Houston his second home; he was born in Surat, India, where he earned his medical degree from Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research (SMIMER).A move to Houston, Texas, in 2010 began an intensive period of study for Dr. Patel. His post-graduate training at the world-renowned Texas Medical Center included a residency and fellowships. A residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston was followed by a move to Baylor College of Medicine for a fellowship in transplant hepatology, before finishing years of medical education with a fellowship in gastroenterology at Houston Methodist Hospital Weill Cornell.Dr. Patel became known during his training for publishing research articles in international journals and presenting at conferences.
