His areas of expertise include the use of minimally invasive technologies in colon and rectal cancer treatment, including TAMIS and laparoscopic surgery. He specializes in the surgical treatment of both Crohn&#39s disease and ulcerative colitis, and is proficient treating all common anorectal diseases including hemorrhoids, fistulas and perianal abscesses. Dr. Galante has published numerous, peer-reviewed articles in medical publications and received the 2016 Gershon Efron, MD Resident of the Year Award from the Sinai Hospital Department of Surgery for commitment to patient care, safety, leadership and teamwork -as selected by faculty and staff of the department.
