There he received extensive General Surgery and Trauma training at the Busiest Level 1 Trauma Center in the U.S. by physicians such as Dr. James "Red" Duke and Dr. John B Holcomb. He then went on to the University of South Florida for fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy and Bariatric Surgery. Training was extensive in Laparoscopic Foregut surgery including but not limited to Nissen Fundoplication, Distal Pancreatectomy, Splenectomy, Bowel resection, Colon surgery and Bariatric surgery with an emphasis on revisional surgeries. He has also completed DaVinci Robotic Surgical Training.He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
