Biography: Mbaga Walusimbi, MD, FACS, MS, MBA, is a graduate of University of Illinois in Chicago, IL. He completed his residency in Surgery at State University of New York, Buffalo in Buffalo, NY. He went on to complete a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Lincoln Memorial Hospital in New York, NY. Dr. Walusimbi is board certified in Surgical Critical Care by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Walusimbi is a Professor at Boonshoft School of Medicine of Wright State University. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Association for the Surgery for Trauma, and the Eastern Association for Surgery for Trauma. Dr. Walusimbi specializes in Acute Care Surgery, Trauma, and Critical Care. He treats a wide spectrum of critical conditions, including complex trauma injuries, respiratory failure, general surgery emergencies, and wounds. His comprehensive approach includes traumatic wound management and surgical interventions, such as minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic abdominal surgery.
