Biography: Dr. Katherine Specht is a colorectal surgeon with Las Vegas Complex Surgical Specialists. Serving patients throughout Las Vegas and its surrounding communities, she treats conditions of the lower gastrointestinal tract, including the colon, rectum, and anus. Dr. Specht performs surgery, including minimally-invasive, robotic-assisted surgery, at MountainView Hospital which has been named among the Top 100 Hospitals in America, according to Healthgrades.Dr. Specht completed a colorectal fellowship at AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida and a general Sunrise Health Graduate Medical Education Consortium, based at MountainView Hospital. Dr. Specht earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California. She has a Master of Science in Global Medicine and undergraduate degrees in molecular toxicology and psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.Dr. Specht was recognized for several achievements during her residency and fellowship training programs and is cited in numerous published articles and posters.
