Biography: Dr. Alejandro Garcia is a board-certified general surgeon and surgical intensivist with over thirteen years of experience. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin, he earned his medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico in 2006, where he demonstrated his leadership skills by serving as class president throughout all four years. Dr. Garcia completed his general surgery training at the University of Florida in Jacksonville and pursued a fellowship in surgical critical care at the University of Florida in Gainesville.He began his career in Ocala, Florida, where he played a pivotal role in transforming a community hospital into a tertiary referral center, launching a general surgery residency program, and establishing a Level 1 trauma center.
