Biography: Dr. Anirudh Bhargava hails from Alexandria, Louisiana. He completed his undergraduate degree at Emory University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavior Biology where he received the honor of Phi Beta Kappa. He completed medical school at Louisiana State University New Orleans in 2017 with induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the esteemed University of Alabama Birmingham in 2020 followed by a specialized cardiovascular disease fellowship at the same institution where he focused on advanced cardiac imaging along with developing a mastery in all aspects of cardiac care. He has had the privilege of working with master clinician scientists during his residency and fellowship with numerous publications in esteemed cardiovascular journals. He additionally has represented Alabama at the national American College of Cardiology FIT Jeopardy competition in 2023. He was voted among his peers as best teaching fellow during his fellowship. With a strong foundation in internal medicine and a focus on cardiovascular health, Dr. Bhargava's interests lie in various aspects of cardiology. His expertise extends to preventative cardiology, ensuring patients adopt healthy lifestyles to minimize the risk of heart disease. He is also interested in diagnosing and treating cardiomyopathies, arrhythmias, peripheral vascular disease, and various other cardiac conditions both in the clinic and in the hospital. Dr. Bhargava possesses extensive knowledge and experience in various cardiovascular imaging techniques. He is well-versed in utilizing advanced technologies such as cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, advanced echocardiography, and nuclear imaging to diagnose and evaluate heart conditions accurately. Dr. Bhargava is driven by his passion of patient-centered care for patients of all walks of life, age, gender, and ethnicity. As a proud South Asian American, he is particularly interested in improving the cardiovascular health for those of South Asian descent (ie. Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Nepali, and Sri Lankan). Dr. Bhargava focuses on addressing the epidemic of heart disease in this population. He is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive care and promoting awareness of cardiovascular diseases in these communities. In addition to English, Dr. Bhargava is fluent in Hindi and Urdu. With his strong educational background, specialized training, and dedication to improving cardiovascular health, Dr. Anirudh Bhargava is excited to serve the people of Greater Austin, ensuring patients receive comprehensive and personalized care for their heart-related concerns.In his free time he likes to travel with his wife Kanupriya, enjoys cooking, watching New Orleans Saints and LSU football, and following the India's national cricket team avidly.

Biography: Dr. John Moscona is from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a board-certified Cardiologist and Internist who joins Austin Heart as an Interventional Cardiologist, treating patients with cardiovascular diseases through catheter-based procedures. Dr. Moscona completed his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience magna cum laude from Tulane University in 2004. In 2010, he earned his Medical Degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at Tulane and was selected Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. After residency, Dr. Moscona worked as a Hospitalist and Associate Medical Director in Denver at Rose Medical Center and then in New Orleans as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine residency at Tulane. Dr. Moscona then furthered his medical training, completing Cardiology fellowship in 2019 at Tulane and Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2020. Dr. Moscona is also certified in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular imaging. Additionally, Dr. Moscona has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on coronary physiology, coronary calcification, valvular heart disease, and cardiovascular public health and disaster medicine. In 2017, he was recognized for Best Oral Presentation by the Louisiana Chapter of the American College of Cardiology and was chosen as Cardiology Fellow of the Year at Tulane University in 2019. Dr. Moscona was recently elected to Fellowship in the American College of Cardiology and has affiliations with the American Heart Association and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Moscona has a special interest in complex coronary interventions including management of chronic total occlusions and the use of atherectomy devices. He is also trained in peripheral vascular and structural heart interventions. He enjoys spending time with his wife while trying to manage their two little boys. He also loves to cook and plays guitar.

Biography: S Hinan Ahmed, MD, MBA, FACC, FSCAI, FSVM is a board certified Interventional Cardiologist with Methodist Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio. He is also the Medical Director, Methodist Heart and Lung Institute | Vascular Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, with subspecialty board certifications in Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular Medicine.After completing medical school and an internship at Government Medical College in Srinagar, India, Dr. Ahmed began his vast clinical studies in the United States. He completed an internship at Saint Louis University and was a cerebrovascular research fellow at Washington University, both in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Ahmed then headed to Charleston, South Carolina to complete Internal Medicine and Heart Failure Fellowships at Medical University of South Carolina. A Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship took him to University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, and then an Advanced Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology brought him to University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.Prior to joining the Methodist family, Dr. Ahmed held a variety of leadership positions at UT Health San Antonio, including being the Director of Structural Heart Diseases, Chest Pain Center and Cardiac Catheterization Lab. While there, he was also Associate Professor of Interventional Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Assistant Program Director of Interventional Fellowship.Dr. Ahmed is a Fellow with American College of Cardiology, Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and Society of Vascular Medicine. He is also a Board Member of the American Heart Association and Chair, Cor Vitae Society, AHA San Antonio. He has been an invited speaker and clinical conference course director at numerous events, including Texas Cardiology Pulse, Cardiology Fiesta, Annual STEMI Conference and Methodist Heart Failure Symposium.Dr. S Hinan Ahmed sees patients at the Medical Center, Landmark and Boerne locations of Methodist Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio and at the Methodist Heart and Lung Institute | Vascular Center in San Antonio, Texas.

She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Montreal in Montreal, Quebec and went on to complete her Cardiology Fellowship at the Institut de Cardiologie de Montreal in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Azarbar says "Cardiac health is so important. There are essentially 2 groups of patients we follow, those we help prevent cardiac disease and those who already have cardiac disease. We can ensure optimal treatment to reverse what is reversible, prevent future cardiac events and improve quality of life." Dr. Azarbar enjoys spending time with her husband, who is a neurologist, and their three daughters.
