Biography: Tymwa Dixon, M.D. has a passion for family medicine. As a child, he became intrigued with the idea of caring for people of all ages. He pursued his goal of becoming a physician throughout his academic career, starting at Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana Tech University and then his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. He completed a residency in family medicine at Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
