He completed a six-year urologic residency at Baylor College of Medicine, Scott Department of Urology at the Texas Medical Center in Houston. Looking to remain in Texas, Dr. Mercado joined Texas Urology Specialists. As a native Spanish speaker, he enjoys the diversity of his patient population, which allows him to treat a wide variety of urological needs and utilize his extensive training in minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Mercado and his wife have two wonderful children and enjoy living in The Woodlands. In his free time, he enjoys scuba diving, skiing, and bike riding.
