Dr. Chung received a degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University before completing his doctorate at UMDNJ - The New Jersey Medical School. He pursued his passion for orthopaedic surgery at Columbia University where he found a desire to better understand the world of spine surgery.Dr. Chung went on to Emory University's Spine Center in Atlanta to complete a fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery. After his fellowship, Dr. Chung moved to Denver to further pursue his passion and expertise in spine surgery. He has served as the Spine Medical Director at Porter Adventist Hospital, and now he serves as the Spine Medical Director at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in developing a unique comprehensive interdisciplinary spine center.He is a renowned expert in degenerative spine disorders including complex scoliosis deformities with a special focus on disorders of the neck and cervical spine as well as revision failed spine surgery.
