She grew up in Alabama and attended Huntington College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. She completed her medical school training at University of South Alabama. She completed internship and residency at University of South Alabama Women's and Children's Hospital in Mobile, Alabama, where she was Chief resident her senior year. Dr. Finger has served as Chairman of the OB/GYN Department and as Vice-Chief of Staff of Medical City Denton. Dr. Finger enjoys taking care of women in all phases of life. Dr. Tamra Fortenberry joined Matlock OB/GYN in 2008 after completing her Obstetrics and Gynecology training in the Memphis, Tennessee area.She attended medical school at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and received her doctorate of medicine in 2004. Dr. Fortenberry then completed her residency at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2008.She is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association and the Tarrant County Medical Society.Dr. Fortenberry is active in healthcare community outreach and education programs.
