Biography: When I was just 4, I told everyone I was going to be a physician when I grew up. Throughout school, I always loved science. But I also knew I wanted to work with people. Medicine allowed me to use science in the service of people - the perfect blend of my interests. \n As lead physician at my clinic, I provide very patient-centered care. Not every patient is going to choose the same treatment option, and I always want to tailor their care to fit their needs. I listen to my patients to understand what's important to them. The relationships I form with patients is the most rewarding part of my job. I have been lucky to care for some patients over a very long time period and through many seasons of life. \n I grew up in Ohio and have lived in Charlotte since 2009. My husband - who's also a physician - and I have two teenage boys and a dog, Curry, who is queen of the house. I love reading fiction, cooking and baking. I also love travel and spend much of my free time either planning our next trip or riding my Peloton bike. One of my favorite vacations was spent in Iceland, but I love everywhere we go!

Biography: Inspired by her tenth grade biology teacher, Dr. Naumann knew she wanted to pursue medicine as a career at the age of 15. Dr. Naumann graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University and during her time in medical school she was named vice president of her sophomore class, vice president of student council and was a member of Iron Arrow Honor Society. Dr. Naumann's primary focus has always been on the patient first. She believes that what is going on in her patient's life is just as important as the medical approach. Dr. Naumann has been a resident of the Charlotte area for more than twenty years and is the mother of two children. Biography: My passion is to help people. I chose my career and life commitment in the field of obstetrics and gynecology to help make a difference in women's and children's lives. It is a blessing to be able to help women through the birthing process and throughout life. I also have a passion for pelvic reconstructive surgery and treating urinary incontinence. \n My approach to healthcare is to get the mind, body and soul to work together in harmony first. I am a partner with my patients in treating their healthcare issues, and I perform thorough evaluations and care plans. I use the latest in medical technology and surgical procedures to help create the very best outcomes and patient experiences. \n After years of training and dedication, I have become recognized internationally for my work developing videos, simulations and mobile apps to help train residents and surgeons how to perform laparoscopic hysterectomies, retropubic slings and other advanced gynecologic procedures. My writings on the topic have been published by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and I have presented my work in this area to medical societies and conferences on four continents. \n I am the recipient of five National Institutes of Health research grants for surgical innovation and have served as a clinical instructor at the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Wake Forest University since 1994. \n Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors with my wife of over 30 years and three kids. Whether it is the Blue Ridge Parkway or the beaches of Wilmington, it feels wonderful to be a part of Mother Nature. I enjoy snow skiing and was an instructor in a past life (as a teenager) and am passionate about fishing in both fresh and saltwater.
