Biography: Dr. Kristen Pepin is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She is a specialist in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery with a passion for helping women with fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, pelvic pain and infertility. She has expertise in surgical and non-surgical management of these conditions with a focus on minimally invasive approaches. She has a particular interest in laparoscopic total abdominal cerclage and hysterectomy/oophorectomy.Dr. Pepin received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honors Society. She then went on to her residency at Brigham and Women's/Massachusetts General Hospital, teaching hospitals of Harvard Medical School. She stayed on at Brigham and Women's Hospital for her fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. She also pursued a Master of Public Health degree at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Pepin has been nationally and internationally recognized for her research on minimally invasive hysterectomy. She has a particular interest inresearch on hysterectomy outcomes, tissue extraction techniques and disparitiesin surgical treatments within women's health. Biography: Dr. Cynthia Arvizo is a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon with expertise in the treatment of bleeding disorders, pelvic pain, and anatomic causes of infertility. She specializes in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgical approaches, including office hysteroscopy, for the management of fibroids, polyps, adenomyosis, ovarian cysts, uterine septa, scar tissue in the uterus, and endometriosis.Dr. Arvizo received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and gynecology at the Cleveland Clinic followed by a fellowship in minimally invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. After her fellowship, she joined Jacobi Medical Center, one of the New York City Health and Hospitals, where she provided minimally invasive surgeries and started a gynecology quality improvement committee.Dr. Arvizo believes that every person deserves access to safe, high-quality gynecologic care. She sits on national quality improvement committees and has been invited to lecture on increasing access to minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
