Biography: Mary Caroline Young Imbs, DO is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist with Woman's Health Group in the Medical Center of Houston, Texas. Dr. Imbs received both her BBA in Marketing as well as her BA in Spanish from Southern Methodist University. She then went on to complete her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Imbs completed her training with a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital.Dr. Imbs believes that practicing as an ObGyn is an honor and a privilege. She is able to use multiple treatment modalities, both medically and surgically, to improve the quality of life of her patients over long periods of time. She is able to treat the medical issues that come along with puberty, childbirth, menopause, and everything in-between. Biography: Danish Abbasi, M.D., is a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist with Houston Heart, based in Houston, TX. He received his medical degree at Rawalpindi Medical College before completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in New Jersey. Subsequently, Dr. Abbasi moved to Arkansas, completing a general cardiology fellowship and then an additional Interventional Cardiology Fellowship, both at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.Dr. Abbasi is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine and specializes in Interventional Cardiology, General Cardiology, and Peripheral Vascular diseases, offering a wide variety of cardiovascular, diagnostic, and therapeutic options. Dr. Abbasi's goal is to devise a care management plan that is truly patient-centric and provides state-of-the-art interventional treatment for coronary and peripheral vascular disease. He believes in being truly involved in patient care and in taking ownership of his patients and working with them to find a treatment plan that suits their unique situation, with the best long-term solution that is not merely a mechanical approach to the disease. Care Philosophy: A note from Dr. Robinson: I remember when I was about 12, my mother gave me a pamphlet to read discussing the female reproductive system. She asked me if I had any questions but I could tell by the look on her face that she was praying I did not ask any. I could feel her discomfort about the subject and this was from a woman who had nine kids! Those subjects were just not discussed. I was born into the baby boomer generation and was raised to be a Steel Magnolia so I went to the library and read everything I could get my hands on concerning the female body and all of its capabilities. I was amazed and knew then that I wanted to study the female body and help future adolescent and adult females understand their bodies and be comfortable discussing any issues or concerns they may have. I have never regretted my decision to study and practice obstetrics and gynecology. I love the idea that I can care for my patients from the moment they are conceived into their golden years.

Biography: Dr. Hemamalini Pilla, MD is a Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialist in Webster, TX with Women's Specialists of Clear Lake and has over 31 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. Pilla has extensive experience in Gynecologic Conditions, Obstetric Care, and minimally invasive surgery. Her scope of practice includes pre-pubescent through post-menopausal. Biography: Dr. Nima Goharkhay is the Medical Director of the Pregnancy Specialty Center of Texas. He is board certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). He is a member of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine (SMFM) and the Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist (ACOG). Dr. Goharkhay holds a PhD in Cell Biology. Prior to founding the Pregnancy Specialty Center of Texas, he was Medical Director at Texas MFM, and a perinatologist with Maryland Perinatal Associates in the Washington DC area, where he also served as Quality Control Representative. He is a Voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and was a Women's Reproductive Health Scholar and faculty member at that institution until 2009. Dr. Goharkhay has a strong interest in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, diabetes in pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis, maternal complications in pregnancy and developmental programming of disease. He has participated in research studies sponsored by the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network of the NICHD and has had independent research support by the NIH and the National Perinatal Foundation, among others, and has authored numerous articles. He was recognized for his research by the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine and was Researcher of the Month at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in December 2007. Dr. Goharkhay was honored by the BIRTH organization in both 2015 and 2016 for his support of the midwife and natural birth communities in the Houston area. Dr. Goharkhay completed his fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine and a Ph.D. in Cell Biology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and his residency at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He earned his medical degree at the University of Vienna in Austria and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He is fluent in Spanish, German and Persian.
