Biography: David Kanar joined CKC in June of 2023. He was born in Chicago where he did most his medicaltraining at Finch University of Health Sciences and then Loyola University Medical Center. He then didhis nephrology fellowship at Long Island Jewish. He worked at South Denver Nephrology until movingto rural Nebraska and then rural Colorado where he did both primary care and nephrology.His professional interests in nephrology cover the full spectrum of general nephrology, kidneydiseases, electrolyte disorders, secondary hypertension, dialysis and transplant.His personal interests include many of the outdoor activities that are available here in Colorado. As aformer gymnast, he coaches his son for gymnastics. His daughter does ballet.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Davenport views his relationships with patients as a team effort, working together to understand complex problems and the treatment options that are available. Surgery can be confusing and frightening, and he strives to guide each patient through the process from start to finish as if they were family.
