Biography: Matthew B. Stahlman, MD, FACC, FSCAI has practiced cardiology in Austin since 2006. He received a bachelor degree in Biology from the University of Texas in Austin with honors in 1992. Subsequently, he attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston where he graduated at the top of his class and received the honor of becoming a Member of Alpha Omega Alpha (medical honor society). After completing an internship in Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tennessee, he then completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern (Parkland Hospital) in Dallas Texas. Dr. Stahlman returned to Vanderbilt and completed his Cardiology training in both Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.Dr. Stahlman currently practices general and interventional cardiology at St. David's Medical Center in Austin. During his time in Austin, he has served as a Director of multiple area cardiac cath labs and on multiple executive, advisory, and peer review committees. Dr. Stahlman is distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is a member of the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Travis County Medical Society. Dr. Stahlman is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.Dr. Stahlman's clinical passion remains providing quality oriented and compassionate patient care. He specializes in cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic treatments for heart disease and stroke. Biography: S Hinan Ahmed, MD, MBA, FACC, FSCAI, FSVM is a board certified Interventional Cardiologist with Methodist Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio. He is also the Medical Director, Methodist Heart and Lung Institute | Vascular Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, with subspecialty board certifications in Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular Medicine.After completing medical school and an internship at Government Medical College in Srinagar, India, Dr. Ahmed began his vast clinical studies in the United States. He completed an internship at Saint Louis University and was a cerebrovascular research fellow at Washington University, both in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Ahmed then headed to Charleston, South Carolina to complete Internal Medicine and Heart Failure Fellowships at Medical University of South Carolina. A Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship took him to University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, and then an Advanced Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology brought him to University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.Prior to joining the Methodist family, Dr. Ahmed held a variety of leadership positions at UT Health San Antonio, including being the Director of Structural Heart Diseases, Chest Pain Center and Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Biography: Sayena Azarbar, M.D., FACC, FRCPC is Board-Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Azarbar is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Montreal in Montreal, Quebec and went on to complete her Cardiology Fellowship at the Institut de Cardiologie de Montreal in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Azarbar says "Cardiac health is so important. There are essentially 2 groups of patients we follow, those we help prevent cardiac disease and those who already have cardiac disease.
