Biography: As a child, I was intrigued with nursing. My aunt is a nurse, and I loved to read her textbooks and listen to her stories from work. That led me to start college as a nursing major. After my third year in nursing school, I felt that I needed to play a more active role in the formulation of a comprehensive plan of care; I decided that I should go to medical school after completing my undergraduate degree in bio-electrical engineering. I enjoy seeing the same patients year after year, and developing a relationship where they feel comfortable asking questions, raising concerns or just sharing their life challenges. \n I am married with six adult children. My husband and I spend much of our time on our small farm, caring for our horses and chickens. I like to knit and sew clothing and costumes, and I also play guitar. Running, hiking and horseback riding keep me active. Another passion is my 1959 Corvette that love to drive on nice days.
