Biography: Dr. Drew Rhodes joined our team in 2020 from the University of North Carolina. He is a general surgeon formally trained in the subspecialty of endocrine surgery at Yale University where he worked closely with Dr. Tobias Carling. As Dr. Carling says Drew is the best of the best and wherever I go, I want Drew at my side. He is one of the best surgeons I have ever met. Dr. Rhodes received his general surgery training at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Philadelphia prior to fellowship training at Yale. He had a decorated military career spending 5 years as a surgeon at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC. He was the Director of the Endocrine Center at HCA North Carolina for 4 years until joining the Dream Team in Tampa in 2020. Drew is married and has an 8 year-old boy and a 4 year-old girl.

Dr Anaya is a fellowship trained Surgical Oncologist with a particular focus on the surgical treatment of patients with liver malignancies (primary and metastatic) and neuroendocrine tumors. His academic interest focus on improving the quality of cancer care and implementing models to improve the delivery of care for patients with complex cancers. He is an expert in developing academic programs that facilitate delivery of the highest quality of care, while also provide a framework to support research and innovation in the field of cancer and surgery.
