Biography: Dr. Nathan Coleman specializes in sports medicine and knee and shoulder surgery. Outside of work he enjoys cycling, music, hockey and being with his family.

Biography: Dr. Lorenzetti is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulders and elbows. Since his mother was a family medicine physician and his father was a civil engineer, Dr. Lorenzetti studied bioengineering in college. He thinks orthopedics is a perfect combination of engineering and medicine that allows people to get back to their active lives and activities that they enjoy. He thinks it is very rewarding taking away someone's pain or restoring their range of motion so they can be back playing with their children, golfing, skiing or whatever they wish to do.Dr. Lorenzetti loves to be active and to be outdoors: he enjoys skiing and snowboarding in the winter and hiking, rock climbing, golfing, and soccer during the summer. He and his wife are avid travelers and love to explore new places, foods and cultures, and they are also kept busy by their two young boys.

Biography: As a "one-stop shop" physiatrist, Dr. Mehta is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. With 13 years of education, training, research, and medical experience, he completed an interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, which ranks top 5 in the nation. He treats every aspect of a patient mind, body, spirit, and soul. With a philosophy to simplify the complex, he eases the patient's concerns and helps them feel more comfortable working together towards restoring overall health and function. Through experience with his own family's recoveries, Dr. Mehta has seen firsthand how the body can heal itself. As a result, he pursued the field of osteopathic medicine to help others in need the way others helped his loved ones. His primary objective is to make patients feel more comfortable as they navigate the uncertainty and unknown circumstances behind their pain. To truly treat the patient, Dr. Mehta promotes a holistic approach, taking a look beyond the pain itself. Working synergistically with Virginia Spine Institute's interdisciplinary team of experts, Dr. Mehta tailors treatment plans to suit each individual. His expertise is in interventional spine techniques and sports medicine, utilizing an array of non-operative solutions to provide pain solutions. He is fluent in the following modalities of healing: ultrasound-guided spine and joint injections, EMG / nerve conduction studies, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), Botox®, and other PM&R treatments for headaches and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). He encourages his patients to ask questions and understand the details of their treatment. Dr. Mehta firmly believes that the body has the innate ability to regulate and heal itself. He is there to support and encourage the patient along their natural path to recovery but is willing to provide a little boost along the way. The ultimate goal is to restore a patient's functionality, allowing them to get back to doing the things they enjoy most. During a patient's initial consultation with Dr. Mehta, he will take a "deep dive" into their health and pain history and then perform an in-depth physical exam to assess the patient's current functional status and decipher what may be causing their pain. After assessing the complete picture, he then presents treatment recommendations and guidance along with any questions or concerns they may have. By incorporating an extra touch of divinity in each consultation, he sees past someone as "just another patient" and shows the utmost respect and patience as he works with them to improve overall health and provide a better quality of life!
