Biography: Dr. Charles A. Popkin specializes in pediatric, adolescent, and collegiate sports medicine, with an emphasis on the operative and non-operative treatment of complex knee disorders. His specific clinical interests involve primary and revision ACL reconstruction, patellar instability, cartilage injuries and disorders, meniscal tears, and recalcitrant patellar tendinopathy. With dual fellowships in Pediatric Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Dr. Popkin has dedicated his career to the comprehensive treatment and prevention of injury in developing athletes. He has a particular interest in the management of ice hockey injuries, serving as a team physician for USA Hockey, and on the USA Hockey National Safety and Protective Equipment Committee. Dr. Popkin is also the head team physician for: Fordham University, Mercy College, and the Hackley School in Tarrytown. In addition to his academic practice, Dr. Popkin conducts research on ACL injury prevention, ACL reconstruction techniques in the pediatric athlete, overuse injuries in youth sports, refractory patellar tendonitis, and shoulder instability in ice hockey. He pens a monthly "Ask Dr. Hockey" column for USA Hockey Magazine. Dr. Popkin lives in Westchester and enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Jaspal Ricky Singh is the Medical Director of Rehabilitation Medicine. He is a triple-board certified physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine and Pain Medicine. Dr. Singh specializes in a multidisciplinary approach to treat pain by integrating physical therapy and interventional techniques his care, such as minimally invasive, fluoroscopic-guided spine procedures, peripheral nerve blocks, electrodiagnostics and musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Care Philosophy: I believe that the foundation for a patient's successful treatment at any activity level includes a thorough individualized evaluation of each patient's body biomechanics and goals, discussion of evidence-based research related to their condition, and empowering each patient to become educated about their condition and take an active role in their treatment.

Biography: Dr. Galatz is the Mount Sinai Professor and Chair of the Leni and Peter May Department of Orthopedic Surgery and the Icahn School of Medicine at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York. She specializes in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, with expertise in Sports and Reconstructive procedures including instability, rotator cuff disorders, and joint replacement. She words with a multidisciplinary team to address patient needs encompassing operative and nonoperative management. Her primary research interest throughout her career has been basic science of rotator cuff disease and tendon healing as it pertains to cuff repair. She is a Co-Primary Investigator on two major projects funded by the National Institute of Health which focus on rotator cuff degeneration and repair, and tissue engineering strategies for tendon repair. Her research is complemented with clinical projects with her colleagues on Shoulder and Elbow problems. Dr. Galatz lectures in numerous courses on a national and international level each year, lecturing on a variety of clinical topics pertaining to Shoulder and Elbow pathology. Dr. Galatz received the 2021 Women's Leadership Forum Award from the Orthopedic Research Society. Dr. Galatz is listed in New York Magazine Top Doctors 2018-2020, Castle Connolly America's Top Doctors 2018-2021, and Top Doctors New York Metro Area 2016-2021. She was awarded one of the Exceptional Women in Medicine 2019-2020. In 2019, she received the Notable Women in Healthcare Award by Crain's New York Business. She was the recipient of the Neer award for Basic Science Research at the American Shoulder and ElbowSurgeons Open Meeting in 2009. Dr. Galatz received the 2014 Kappa Delta Ann Doner Award along with her colleagues for research on the natural history of rotator cuff disease. In 2007, she was a European Shoulder and ElbowTraveling Fellow, sponsored by American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and was an American British Canadian Traveling Fellow in 2009.Dr. Galatz serves on the Executive Committee of the Mount Sinai Faculty Practice. She is Chair of the Contracts Committee of the Faculty Practice, and is on the Board the Mount Sinai IPA.

Care Philosophy: My practice focus is on Interventional Physiatry which entails all nonoperative treatment of spine related pain. I recently joined Mount Sinai in 2013 after serving over 15 years as an attending physician and partner at the Spine Institute of Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC.
