She completed her undergraduate studies at Wayne State College, her medical training at the University of Nebraska and her residency in Mason City, Iowa through the University of Iowa. Dr. Blum enjoys patients of all ages, but especially enjoys getting to know her patients and their families. She enjoys watching and guiding them through the various stages of life. Personal areas of interest include watching her children grow, water sports, exercise, travel and being outdoors.

A Doctor of Osteopathy completes the same medical training as a physician with an M.D. degree, but has undergone extra training in diagnosing illness and injury and encouraging the body to heal itself through osteopathic manipulative treatment, a hands-on approach to preventive medicine.
