Biography: Ghiath Mahmaljy, MD is Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism as well as Internal Medicine, and received his medical degree from Damascus University. Dr. Mahmaljy completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois followed by a Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolics at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Mahmaljy specializes in endocrinology at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital and is a practicing physician with Physicians Partners Network.

I am fellowship trained in orthopaedic surgery and completed my fellowship ar the Texas Back Institute in Plano, Texas. My expertise lies in degenerative conditions of the lumbar and cervical spine, adult and pediatric deformity and trauma, scoliosis, myelopathy/ radiculpathy, infections and tumors. I am committed to give each patientthe best treatment possible including non-operative treatment for certain spinal conditions when surgery is not an option.
