Biography: Lily Chang, MD, FACS is board-certified general surgeon with special interest in minimally invasive surgery, gastrointestinal surgery and bariatric surgery.Outside of work, Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Care Philosophy: Shanley Deal, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) surgery for obesity (bariatric surgery), benign esophageal disorders (reflux disease, paraesophageal hernias, achalasia) and gastrointestinal surgery. She also has a special interest in complex abdominal wall hernias, inguinal hernias and gallbladder surgery.Dr. Deal practices with a friendly, straightforward style that focuses on educating patients and identifying what matters in their care in order to provide a holistic experience as they navigate surgery. She enjoys the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with her patients while improving their quality of life.Dr. Deal is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Association of Program Directors in Surgery, Association of Surgical Education, American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.Away from work, Dr. Deal loves spending time with her husband, two children, family and friends. Care Philosophy: Clancy Clark, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in surgery of the pancreas, liver and bile duct. He serves as the medical director for the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) program at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.

I navigate patients smoothly through any fear and uncertainty by spending time listening to their concerns. Then we decide on the best care plan - together.
