Dr. Patel also spent 17 years as a leader in the pediatric surgery program at Driscoll Children's Hospital. He served as Chief of Surgery, Surgical Director (PICU), and Trauma Medical Director. Dr. Patel is board-certified, holding his Board Certification from the American Board of Surgery in both Pediatric and General Surgery. He is also an active Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.Dr. Patel completed his medical degree and undergraduate studies at Witwatersrand University, Johannesburg, South Africa. After moving to the United States, Dr. Patel completed his residency at Berkshire Medical Center, University of Massachusetts, and subsequently completed his pediatric surgery fellowship at The Floating Hospital for Children New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
