Biography: Dr. C. David Lin received his Medical Degree in 1999 from the University of Alabama - School of Medicine in Birmingham and is currently serving as Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine and Attending Physiatrist in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. He is the Medical Director of the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at the Weill Cornell Medical Center. He joined NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in 2003, prior to which he completed a Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York University/Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine in New York where he served as Chief Resident.He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine, Brain Injury Medicine and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. Biography: Dr. Vandana Sood is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is dual board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine.Dr. Sood received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and earned a medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and went on to complete fellowship training in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. She has experience caring for both recreational and professional athletes, and has been a team physician for high school, collegiate and professional sports teams. She has a particular interest in running related injuries and injuries affecting female athletes.Dr. Sood's clinical practice focuses on the non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, spine disorders and acute sports injuries. Her goal is to work with patients to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent future injury. By providing personalized education and a comprehensive treatment plan including detailed physical therapy and/or an exercise plan, she promotes anactive and healthy lifestyle. She is skilled in image-guided injection techniques using both fluoroscopy and ultrasound to precisely target the spine, peripheral joints, or soft tissue (tendon, bursa, nerve, muscle). Biography: John A. Buza, MD, MS, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens. He specializes in conditions of the spine, with a focus on minimally invasive techniques and advanced technology using computer navigation. Dr. Buza treats patients with diseases and disorders, including adult scoliosis, herniated disk, spine arthritis, cancer of the spine, sciatica, and addresses fractures, infections, injury, and pain. Dr. Buza graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons with his Master's in Human Nutrition and remained there to complete his medical degree. He served his residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital and completed his fellowship at Norton Leatherman Spine Center at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Throughout his training, Dr. Buza has been active in clinical research, publishing his work in medical books and journals, including Physical Sports Medicine, the American Journal of Orthopedics, and the Clinical Review of Bone Mineral Metabolism. He has presented his research at annual meetings for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, and the Orthopedic Research Society. Dr. Buza is a member of several professional organizations, including the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.
