Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Dr. MacHannaford is a board certified cardiothoracic surgeon. He performs all aspects of adult cardiac surgery with a particular interest in minimally invasive approaches to heart valve repairs. His other area of focus involves caring for patients with complex thoracic aortic disease such as aneurysms and dissections. He received additional aortic surgical training in both traditional and less invasive endovascular and hybrid approaches to treat aortic pathology. Dr. MacHannaford is also a member of the Heart Transplantation team and is trained in the implantation of mechanical circulatory devices for patients with end stage heart failure.

Biography: Dr. Taimoor Hashim received his medical degree from King Edward Medical University, Lahore Pakistan in 2004. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and General Cardiology and Advanced CHF Fellowship at University of Alabama (UAB) at Birmingham. Dr. Hashim has been practicing medicine since 2004. Hashim has expertise in treating heart failure, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, among other conditions. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. He enjoys tennis, cricket, and swimming.

Biography: Dr. Raza Askari is a board certified Interventional Cardiologist at Heart and Vascular Specialists of North Texas. Dr. Askari is very skilled at performing successful peripheral interventions, complex high-risk coronary interventions, cardiogenic shock and catheter based pulmonary embolism therapy.Dr. Askari received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, and then went on to complete his internship at Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center at Memphis, followed by his Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology fellowships.Dr. Askari is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. Outside of work he enjoys traveling with his family, running and biking.
