Biography: Dr. Evelyn Cantillo completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University prior to pursuing a Master of Public Health degree at Columbia University. She subsequently earned a medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, graduating with special distinction in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at Tulane University, followed by a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology and Breast Disease at the Women & Infants Hospital/Brown University.Dr. Cantillo's practice encompasses the surgical and medical management of the broad spectrum of gynecologic malignancies including uterine, ovary, cervix, vulva, and vagina. She is extensively trained in minimally invasive surgical techniques using traditional laparoscopy, as well as robotic platforms, for gynecologic cancer and complex benign conditions.Dr. Cantillo believes that every woman with gynecologic cancer should have access to the full complement of care. With this in mind, her aim is to expand access to clinical trials should this become necessary. She is a member of the New Investigators Committee of the national NRG (formerly Gynecologic Oncology Group/GOG). It's important to her that all populations be afforded the same opportunities and treatment.Her interests also include medical education. Biography: Manuel Hidalgo, M.D., Ph.D., is currently the Chief of the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Hidalgo received his M.D. from the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain in 1992, and Ph.D. from University Autonoma of Madrid in 1997. He trained in medicine and medical oncology at Hospital "12 de Octubre" in Madrid and at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He also completed a fellowship program in anticancer drug development at the Institute of Drug Development in San Antonio. Prior to this position, he served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. In 2001, Dr. Hidalgo relocated to Johns Hopkins University to serve as Director of the Gastrointestinal Oncology Program at the Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he also held the title of Associate Professor of Oncology. Dr. Hidalgo became Director of the Clinical Research Program at the Spanish National Cancer Center in 2009 and Vice Director of Translational Research in 2011. In 2015, he became the Chief of the Division of Hematology and Oncology and Director of the Rosenberg Clinical Cancer Center at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Hidalgo also served as the Theodore W. and Evelyn G. Berenson Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His main focus of research has been new drug development in pancreatic cancer. His group popularized the use of Avatar mouse models for cancer research and recently contributed to the development and Federal Drug Administration (FDA) approval of nab-paclitaxel for pancreatic cancer treatment. Dr. Hidalgo's current research focuses on strategies for personalized medicine and immunotherapy in pancreatic cancer. Dr. Hidalgo also serves on the Board of Directors for Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS).

Biography: Tiffany Pinchinat, MD, is a general surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian MedicalGroup Brooklyn and an assistant professor of general surgery at Weill CornellMedicine. After graduating from Albany Medical College of Union University, Dr.Pinchinat served her internship at SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed her residency at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center. She served her fellowship in surgical critical care at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Pinchinat's work has been published in various medical journals and she has presented her research at annual medical meetings. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons and a recipient of the Gerald W. Shaftan TraumaResident Award.

Biography: Ryan Lucero, M.D., is the program director of the surgical residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Mathematics. He then received his medical degree from The University of Toledo College of Medicine. His general surgery residency training was completed at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. Following surgical residency, Dr. Lucero completed a fellowship in Trauma/Surgical Critical Care at Temple University Hospital, Lewis Katz School of Medicine.His first appointment was at OhioHealth, Grant Medical Center as a trauma and acute care surgeon where he spent 5 years as core faculty and 3 years as site director and associate program director for OhioHealth Doctors Hospital general surgery residency. During that time he established a trauma in situ simulation curriculum. In 2024, he was recruited to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital as the program director for general surgery residency. His clinical practice includes trauma, acute care surgery, and surgical critical care. His special interests include surgical education, curriculum development, and simulation as well as new faculty development and mentorship.
