Biography: Daniel Sumko, D.O., is Fellowship Trained in Adult Reconstruction focusing on joint replacements. He attended Medical School at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, completed his Residency at UPMC Pinnacle, and had a Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at The CORE Institute.Dr. Sumko grew up in Brigham City and enjoys spending time with his family. In his free time, you can find him in the mountains snowboarding. Sumko also enjoys fishing, spending time at the beach, and exercising.When asked about the work he does, Sumko believes that two-way communication is key to providing the proper treatment for each individual patient. It is critical to ensure the patient is informed of their options and make a decision together. He tries to implement the best available technologies and minimally invasive approaches to maximize outcomes. He truly cares about his patients and wants them to have the best experience possible with reconstructive surgery.

Biography: Telehealth visits are available.Born and raised near Salt Lake City, Sydney Piercey spent much of her adult life in Corvallis, Oregon where she attended Oregon Health and Sciences University for her MD. She served her residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University where she was Chief Resident. In 2011, Dr. Piercey opened her own practice in Covrvallis, Piercey Neurology. Her clinical interests include headache management, movement disorders, and neurocognitive memory testing. Dr. Piercey now practices in Ogden, Utah.

Biography: Dr. Michael Hoffman is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who takes great satisfaction in providing the best orthopedic care possible. He specializes in direct anterior hip replacement, rapid recovery hip and knee replacement, complex hip and knee revision surgery and trauma. For the past decade he has enjoyed serving patients at Susquehanna Health in Williamsport, PA, performing several thousand hip and knee replacements. He also served as a Clinical Instructor for The Commonwealth Medical College.

Biography: Dr. Alex Jonathan Nelson was born and raised in northern Utah. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah, he attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine.In addition to his medical doctorate, he also completed the requirements for a Master of Health Administration in the OSU College of Public Health after receiving a university graduate fellowship.He received multiple honors during his medical studies, including a Dean's Scholarship, Dean's Leadership Scholarship, the Samuel J. Roessler Memorial research scholarship, and the Department of Neurology outstanding performance award.During Dr. Nelson's clinical rotations, he became fascinated with the function and pathology of the nervous system, which drove his decision to pursue a residency in Neurology. After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Nelson did a preliminary medicine intern year at the University of Utah before moving to Minnesota for his Neurology residency at one of the most distinguished and respected programs in the world, Mayo Clinic. While learning the complexities of the diagnosis and management of disorders of the nervous system, Dr. Nelson became particularly interested in the painful manifestations of neurologic dysfunction, and turned this desire into a pursuance of a subspecialty in Pain Medicine.He went on to do fellowship training in Pain Medicine at one of the American Pain Society's clinic centers of excellence, the University of California - Davis Pain Center. In fellowship, Dr. Nelson was instructed in a multi-disciplinary approach to the management of chronic pain conditions. He became skilled in the full spectrum of interventional techniques, including fluoroscopically-guided procedures, ultrasound-guided procedures, and advanced techniques of spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation.Dr. Nelson is board certified in Neurology and Pain Management. He will be seeing patients with any type of chronic pain, but has particular clinical interest in the treatment of headaches and neuropathic pain conditions.
