Care Philosophy: I treat patients how I would like to be treated. Every patient that comes to our office is there for a reason: pain, loss of function, inability to play with their kids, inability to play their sport, among hundreds of others. Everyone is different and every patient encounter I have recognizes this. Many clinicians have lost the ability to talk to or examine patients and rely exclusively on an X-ray or MRI. I treat patients, not MRI's. Patients expect us to make a correct and timely diagnosis, provide both non-surgical and surgical treatment options, and discuss the expected outcomes of both. In my office, I not only use the best evidence-based medicine to treat patients, but I also write that literature, publishing and presenting from across the street to across the world. I use that evidence to make sure that every single patient gets the absolute best care possible whenever they step in the clinic or the operating room.

Biography: I am a partner in the Fondren Orthopaedic Group. I am a board certified orthopaedic surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional orthopaedic foot and ankle care in the Houston area for the past 15 years. My orthopedic practice specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle problems. In preparation for this I have completed a 5 year orthopedic residency and additional year in foot and ankle fellowship training. This provided the opportunity for a broad based training and experience in the diagnosis and management (nonoperative and operative) of orthopedic and foot and ankle problems. As an experienced physician with more than 15 years of foot and ankle specialization in orthopaedics, I attempt to take a highly interactive approach to caring for my patients. I believe the most important aspects of providing quality care are listening to the needs of patients, providing patient education, and presenting all the treatment options to the patient. This includes nonsurgical and surgical treatments options. I believe that knowledgeable patients make the best decisions about their own treatment. That is why I explain every step of the diagnostic process. Next, I want my patients to understand their condition: how it developed and how various treatment approaches can improve or repair the problem. With each treatment options, I present a realistic outlook on the results we can achieve. I'll also be frank about any risks that might be involved. If a non-surgical option is available, I'll explain that avenue in depth. During an initial visit, patients can expect to meet my assistants. They will schedule appointments, verify current insurance information, and provide you with any information(prescriptions and educational materials) you may need. We are committed to patient satisfaction. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you, and to helping you achieve your best possible musculoskeletal health.
