Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Dr. Vaishali M. Swami is delighted to continue serve our Grand Strand community as a cardiologist with Carolina Health Specialists. She grew up in Orangeburg, SC. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. She earned her Doctor of Medicine at the Medical University of SouthCarolina in Charleston, SC. Dr. Swami completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. Dr. Swami completed her fellowship in Cardiology at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. She is Board Certified in Cardiology. Dr. Vaishali Swami is the first Board Certified female Cardiologist in Horry County and she has been part of our local medical community since 1995. She and her husband, Dr. David Bjerken enjoy walking on the beach, travel and family time.
