Following his undergraduate work, he earned his medical doctorate at the Medical College of Georgia, in Augusta. He completed two residencies, the first in internal medicine at University of South Carolina and the second in orthopedic surgery at University of Florida-Shands, Jacksonville. Dr. Patterson also achieved a fellowship in orthopedic adult reconstruction at OrthoCarolina, in Charlotte. Dr. Patterson is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). He has more than 16 years of experience in all areas of Orthopedics, specializing in hip and knee reconstructions, both primary and revision. Dr. Patterson has a passion for teaching and has taught students, residents and fellows.
