Biography: Dr. Nelson was born in Chicago, the youngest of four children and the only daughter. She moved to Atlanta, Ga., as a child. Inspired by her desire to help others and her interest in healthcare, she received her undergraduate education at Emory University, receiving a bachelor of science in chemistry, which paved the way for her interest in medicine. She then attended Sint Eustatius University School of Medicine in the Netherland Antilles, where she obtained a bachelor of science in medicine followed by her medical degree. Subsequently, she completed a four-year residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. In October 2010, Dr. Nelson moved to our practice at WK Pierremont Health Center. She is a board certified internist (American Board of Internal Medicine), primarily in the outpatient setting. Her focus is establishing a close and professional relationship with each of her patients. She prides herself in giving each patient ample time to provide education, instruction, counseling, and allow time to answer questions and concerns. Biography: Dr. Jason Milligan grew up in Bossier City and is fulfilling a dream of practicing medicine in his hometown. After graduating from Parkway High School, he obtained his Bachelor's Degree from The Louisiana Scholars' College at Northwestern State University. After he earned his M.D. from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, he also completed residency there and had the honor of serving as chief resident in the Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Milligan chose the specialty of Family Medicine because of his love of getting to know and treat families across generations. While he is skilled in all aspects of family medicine, Dr. Milligan particularly enjoys adolescent medicine, preventative medicine, women's health, and takes a keen interest in diagnosing and treating common skin conditions.

Biography: Dr. Lim received her Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology, as well as her medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. Taking advantage of the educational opportunities that Northwest Louisiana offers, he attended Caddo Magnet High School, Centenary College, (where he graduated with degrees in chemistry and economics), and LSU Health Shreveport for his Doctor of Medicine. He met his wife Dr. Ashley White, a fellow Shreveport-Bossier native and current pediatric resident, while attending Centenary College. Dr. White completed his residency in pediatrics at LSU Health Shreveport. He was awarded the Outstanding Intern Award during his first year of residency. His final year of residency, he served as chief resident and was awarded the Outstanding Resident Award at graduation. After completing his residency in pediatrics, Dr. White joined the Willis-Knighton Health System and co-founded WK Preferred Pediatrics. Dr. White believes that the pediatrician's role is to be an ally with parents, helping them care for their children in times of wellness and illness. He desires to be an advocate for his patients whether they be infants, young children, or adolescents. While not in the clinic, Dr. White and his wife enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and playing with their lively golden retriever Abby.
